闭嘴,别再讲了!
lay off我们最常用的意思是“解雇”,但是lay off在口语中也经常表示“闭嘴,够了,别再说了”。如果你对某人或者对他/她所在意的事情说了些不客气的话,然后他/她说"Lay off!"时,他/她要表达的意思就是:"Shut up!"、"Button your lips!"、"Zip your mouth!"。
